Call for papers

Call for papers: Learning Meaningful Representations of Life (LMRL) Workshop at NeurIPS 2022: Due September 30 2022

Virtual Workshop on 9 December 2022

Description

We invite you to submit papers in the form of a short (1 to 4-page) abstract describing research on novel learning approaches or application areas in computational biology.

We encourage you to submit work that:

  • describes a novel computational method that yields new biological insights,

  • applies an existing learning method to a new biological problem,

  • improves upon existing methods for solving previously studied problems, or

  • highlights software development aspects of the implementation of any of the above.

We especially encourage submissions describing early ideas, work in progress, and early results, for generating engaged discussions.

All accepted submissions will be invited to present a poster during the interactive Gather.Town portion of the program. Selected submissions will be invited to give a short talk as a part of the workshop program.

Examples of successful submissions from previous years can be found online at https://www.lmrl.org/papers and https://www.lmrl.org/papers2020.

We allow parallel submission to the preprint servers as well as submissions of papers under review or that have been recently published in a conference or a journal. In any of those cases you must specify whether the submission is preprinted, published or under consideration.

Submissions should be in the Anonymized NeurIPS 2022 format. The page limit does not apply to references, appendix, or supplementary materials as long as the main text is self-contained and reviewers are not required to read the appendix/supplement.

Accepted submissions (posters and papers) will be stored on the workshop website (lmrl.org) unless otherwise requested by the authors, but not published in an official proceedings, and should be considered non-archival.

Code of conduct: participants must agree to the code of conduct for NeurIPS.

Authors are invited to submit works in the form most convenient for the description of their work, with an extra thanks for their concision.

Format : Anonymized NeurIPS 2022 1-4 page papers (contact us if this does not accommodate your submission).
